“May 1st will be a half-time work day and May 3rd a full holiday”
In addition to the national holiday not recoverable (cannot be made up for with over time or on a Saturday’s) on May 3, 2019; on the occasion of the celebration of the International Labor Day, by Executive Decree 726 on April 15, 2019 the National Government decided that Wednesday, May 1, 2019 will be a half day work day. The work day will end at 12:30.
The half-day must be recovered in public institutions for one hour daily for four days from Monday, May 6, 2019; In the case of private companies, it is up to the owner to make his or her workers make up the 4 hours.
